Survivorship Seminar -PCPEP.org for initial Active Surveillance: The Science and Practice of an Anti‑Inflammatory Lifestyle

April 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

PCPEP.org for initial Active Surveillance: The Science and Practice of an Anti‑Inflammatory

AcCan and The Active Surveillor will be co-hosting this seminar with the Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Program. This event will take place at 7 pm, before the Active Surveillance group session in the AnCan Barniskis Room.

Want to put the ACTIVE in active surveillance? – then PCPEP could be for you!

We can’t take the credit for that line – it goes to AnCan AS Moderator, Phil Segal. Nor can we take credit for PCPEP – that goes to Phil’s compatriots at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Newfoundland. Drs. Gabriela Ilie* (psychologist) and Rob Rutledge* (radiation oncologist). They have developed a prostate cancer survivorship program proven to improve diet, exercise, and stress. Their clinical trial is now entering Stage 4 and seeking US-based prostate cancer Gents on initial Active Surveillance.

The program sends a daily email for 6 months with a 5 min video addressing diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, or other helpful tips. There are a few more bells and whistles you can read about at https://pcpep.org/.

Btw, AnCan ran into Drs. Rob and Gabriela at GU ASCO26 since we’re in the same line of biz – promoting survivorship!

In Dr. Rob’s words…

Men on active surveillance often ask a vital question: What can I do to stay healthy and in control while living with prostate cancer? Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Program (PCPEP.org) is a free, evidence‑based, six‑month program designed to help lower inflammation, strengthen immunity, and improve overall well‑being.

Learn how stress reduction, exercise, nutrition, better sleep, and positive social connections can influence inflammation and support prostate health.

Hear how hundreds of prostate cancer survivors have already used PEP’s structured daily practices, online videos, and supportive community to feel stronger, calmer, and more empowered after a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Attend to find out how to participate in PCPEP.org’s free Stage 4 Clinical Trial
