If you are interested in volunteering for AnCan, we can always use help with our:

• Social media
• Website
• Data base
• General Administration

AnCan’s mission is to provide virtual support for all chronic conditions, no matter how common or rare. If you have an interest in starting a group for your condition, AnCan will support you at no cost ; we provide:

• The virtual meeting room with suitable time slots
• Moderator training including AnCan moderator support for your first few sessions
• Promotional assistance on Twitter, Facebook and certain popular health forum websites
• Ability to record and display your meetings on AnCan’s YouTube Channel
• AnCan web page for your groups that you curate
• AnCan blog for your posts

You are responsible for:

• Building a team of moderators
• Determining the tone and content of your virtual support sessions
• Setting frequency and duration for your meetings
• Promoting the sessions to your audience – filling the virtual room!
• Identifying prospective collaborators and endorsements within your condition
• Inviting guest speakers

AnCan does not ask you to share your mailing list, nor do we fundraise from your group without permission ….. so be assured your financial integrity is guaranteed. If we do not fundraise from you, we ask that you make an annual contribution to AnCan in any amount you feel is appropriate and affordable to your group.
