Judy Williams
Judy was born in rural Tennessee in the same house as her father, moving to Memphis as a small child. She began teaching in Memphis before marrying the love of her life, teacher Michael Williams. They moved to Texas, had two sons, both in education, and Judy got her M.Ed. degree, taught third, fourth, and fifth grades becoming an Instructional Specialist. Retirement in 2005 led to travel in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Baltic, Australia and New Zealand and the USA. They moved to a retirement community in 2017 to enjoy its many amenities.
Judy was care partner to her husband with advanced prostate cancer who died from aggressive pancreas cancer in September 2023. She lives with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL) since 2014, and with Richter’s Transformation since 2019 now in complete remission. Judy is currently in her 5th treatment. She is a Patient Ambassador, has spoken publicly about her treatments and been featured in several travel magazines.
