About Us

AnCan | Virtual Support Calls

AnCan is about people helping people, peer-to-peer ….. we are people living with various conditions and situations, who help others faced with similar issues. We do this collectively and individually by providing answers, support and navigation to empower people living with serious and chronic conditions to address their situations.

Upcoming Groups & EVENTS

*Days may change due to holidays

AnCan Foundation is a volunteer organization with a handful of paid staff. All our events are free, and all  groups are free and drop-in. AnCan has limited capacity to provide one-one-one navigation. If we do, it is provided by volunteer peer mentors. Out of respect for their time, we request a donation in an amount you see fit. No one is turned away.

Pancreatic Cancer Survivor
Pancreatic Cancer (“The Beast”) came knocking at the door. Ask anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis and they will surely be able to tell you the day, date, and quite possibly the time the news was delivered. My Pearl Harbor Day? December 19, 2013.
Sarcoidosis Moderator
He was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 2010 in his lungs and lymph nodes. In January 2020,  after a motor vehicle accident, the sarcoidosis spread to his heart.

Camp Mak-A-Dream, Where Dreams DO Come True!

Camp Mak-A-Dream, Where Dreams DO Come True!

You already know that at AnCan we are all peers, did you also know how much we love sharing resources with you? Well I have a resource that I would love to share! Camp Mak-A-Dream.

I had the absolute privilege of attending last year’s YAC (Young Adult Conference) for campers aged 18-35 with my fiancé Brian, and I’ve already applied for this year’s YAC since applications opened January 3rd. I enjoyed it so much that I set a reminder on my phone so I could apply as soon as possible!

As a peer-to-peer organization we are not required to comply with HIPAA; nor can we provide medical advice but do offer our own experiences.
