About Us

AnCan | Virtual Support Calls

AnCan is about people helping people, peer-to-peer ….. we are people living with various conditions and situations, who help others faced with similar issues. We do this collectively and individually by providing answers, support and navigation to empower people living with serious and chronic conditions to address their situations.

Upcoming Groups & EVENTS

*Days may change due to holidays

AnCan Foundation is a volunteer organization with a handful of paid staff. All our events are free, and all  groups are free and drop-in. AnCan has limited capacity to provide one-one-one navigation. If we do, it is provided by volunteer peer mentors. Out of respect for their time, we request a donation in an amount you see fit. No one is turned away.

Meet the wonderful people that make AnCan possible.

Pancreatic Cancer Survivor
Pancreatic Cancer (“The Beast”) came knocking at the door. Ask anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis and they will surely be able to tell you the day, date, and quite possibly the time the news was delivered. My Pearl Harbor Day? December 19, 2013.
Derynne Davis Taylor

Originally from the UK, but has lived in the US since 1980.  Was diagnosed with thyroid cancer during parathyroid surgery in 2019
Pancreatic Cancer Survivor
I was lucky. I had my first symptom 12/17/2012 when I noticed my urine was very dark and I started itching.
