A Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia diagnosis profoundly changed Michele’s high pace life and career aspirations. On her first day on a clinical trial she started reporting from chemotherapy infusion to demystify what patients experience. She continues reporting and contributing to Patient Power’s CLL Community, having recently stopped nearly four years on daily immunotherapy. A former broadcast journalist and global communications executive leader for publicly traded companies and healthcare organizations including the American Cancer Society, Michele now helps patients navigate care, treatment options and coping skills and is a Communications and Patient Engagement Consultant to Life Sciences organizations.
A graduate of Boston College (BA), and Boston University (MS), Broadcast Journalism, she is in remission, living with CLL. Michele has been known to perform a surprisingly deceptive impersonation of Katie Couric … or is it Savannah Guthrie??
