AnCan is committed to providing peer support to Ovarian and GYN Cancers. We have recently lost our partner and are looking to reestablish this group.
If interested in receivng a Reminder when we resume, please sign up HERE.
We are a group of women who come together as peers to share our experiences with the understanding that we have much to learn from each other. This is a peer-moderated group for women living with Ovarian and GYN Cancers. We cannot provide medical advice – we can only speak about our own experiences with treatments and other aspects of living with ovarian cancer. During our support groups, we will discuss:
- Treatments
- Dealing with side effects
- Clinical trials
- Intimacy and sexuality
- How the disease affects you personally
- How family members and/or friends react
… and any other topic YOU feel is important and you’d like to bring up.
For GYN Cancr caregivers, we refer you to AnCan’s Advanced Pan-Cancer Caregiver Group that meets every 1st & 3rd Tuesday at 8 pm Eastern – more details here.
On resumption, the virtual group will meet at 7:30pm-9:00pm Eastern on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the AnCan’s Virtual Schmier Room). You can join online or by phone at +1 646 749 3129 with access code 656-182-845. See the Joining Instructions Panel above right for more information and other Country Access codes. Our groups are free & drop-in – no registration required.

Upcoming Ovarian Cancer Groups
Ovarian Cancer
This group is for women who have been diagnosed with any subtype of ovarian cancer, at any age, and at any stage of treatment. (A second group for caregivers may be added if interest allows but for now this group is open to females only since we may discuss topics that would be uncomfortable in mixed company.) The purpose of our group is to share our experiences in the hopes that we can aid our fellow teal sisters along their journeys. Topics we discuss include dealing with side effects, treatment options and alternatives, clinical trial experience, sexuality and intimacy, and more. For those that are uncomfortable with a video chat we allow call-ins, but do ask that you enter your first name so that we know who is talking. New participants are given priority to discuss their situation.
