Moderator and Advocate
Alexa got her cancer card at 25 after being diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Joining the advocacy space two years later in 2019, she started in the AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) Cancer community, and through AnCan, she proudly wears the ‘Advocate Hat’ for all!
An East Texas native, she met her fiancé (and fellow cancer survivor) Brian from Los Angeles by doing similar AYA advocacy work. Now they share a beautiful blended life of California burritos and Cajun classics together.
You might find her doing something crafty, spending time with family, cuddling cats, watching terrible movies, or at a Scottish Gathering around the US.
