Renata Louwers was the caregiver for her first husband, Ahmad, during a challenging 11-month trajectory of metastatic bladder cancer. Renata has written for many publications around her caregiver experience and is a nationally recognized caregiver and bladder cancer advocate.
Renata publishes her own Literary Magazine, Months to Years that addresses caregiving, advanced disease and grief. She was the first lead moderator for our AnCan Advanced Cancer Caregivers virtual group. A 16-year resident of the San Francisco Area, she and her second husband moved to Virginia’s Blue Ridge mountains; they now travel between those two stunning locales.As Renata moved on in her life, AnCan did not want to lose her wisdom, and welcome her to our Advisory Board.
