Happy Valentine’s Day, 2011! That’s when John learned he had prostate cancer. Since then, he’s experienced many things inside of him: robotic knives, proton beams, and ADT needles and pills, not to mention several fingers. And many things have left him: the tumor (minus its “positive” margins), testosterone, and the feeling that time is aplenty.
This must be someone’s idea of a big joke. John’s been joining in on the fun by working on a memoir of his experiences, War and Pee, and telling his stories live and on video. He resides in the City of the Big Shoulders, Chicago.
