SPEAKING FREELY – FOR MEN AND WOMEN
Life changes after a diagnosis.
You now face scans, tests, blood draws, treatment decisions, scheduling issues, treatment itself – and the medical team speaks a foreign language with no translator. Your family is impacted, so are your colleagues and friends.
It can be a lonely journey that is fraught with worry, fear, and anxiety.
Only someone that has experienced this can understand. Only someone that has experienced this can answer the questions you have. Being able to talk to someone that has been there can be a blessing.
How does AnCan know?
We’ve been where you are, as all of our moderators are peers. AnCan now offers multiple monthly ‘Speaking Freely’ support calls:
Men Speaking Freely, for men of all conditions or are carepartners. This call is only for men. No raised eyebrows, no judgement, no guilt. We support each other in a safe, comfortable space suitable for man-talk, helping ourselves by Speaking Freely!
Women Speaking Freely, for women of all conditions or are carepartners. This call is only for women. We heard your desire for a daytime gathering spot where you can unwind with your favorite drink in hand, and we’re excited to provide that. So, come join us for a lively discussion, a warm atmosphere, and a comforting cup of your preferred beverage!
